Not Rock On

So, that's it for now. I will post more of my concert pictures after Christmas, because they are at my parents place. There will be Bauhaus, Echo & the Bunnymen, more Siouxsie, more Marc Almond, the only ever Smiths concert in Germany (05.05.1984) (and I have a piece of Morrissey's shirt and a dried flower from his bum), Violent Femmes, Toots & the Maytals, Burning Spear, UB 40 and maybe more.

These are Pics of the Marc Almond & The Willing Sinners concert at the Markthalle in Hamburg on 06.12.1985, performing songs from the "Stories of Johnny" LP. I even have a cassette from this show. It is great to hear, when you were there, but pretty useless (soundwise) if you were not.I was in San Francisco recently and I went to the most incredible record store in the world : AMOEBA !!!! First I was in the Berkely store, that was amazing and pleasure work for hours, but you can spend days in the San Francisco store on Haight St! I spent a lot of money there and I will definitely come back! And I found Marc Almond and Soft Cell Bootlegs I didn't even hear of before!Here is a song I love by Marc Almond : Marc Almond & Foetus - Beat out that rhythm on a drum Have fun with it!

Marc Almond at one of the first, if not the first continental gig with the Willing Sinners, close to Christmas 1984. I drove 500 km to see him. First Soft Cell was a blast, great POP singles and great Albums! Say Hello Wave Goodbye, what a ballad! Torch 12", what a love song! And then I discovered Marc & The Mambas, visiting my girlfriend in Hannover, what a coincidence. Great drama and love and hate and this wonderful voice! I was hooked since Torch, but from then on it was different, GET WELL SOON! You can find a live recording from 1985 here that will be back online soon!

It was an original Hercules Ultra I before I changed the design to that of the big Honda of the year. Later I changed it to the water-cooled engine with a Sebring exhaust.

Berlin 1985 repairing my CITY

Hello, I just wanted to answer to a post at another site, didn't make it and suddenly I am here with my on blog! Well I don't know what to give yet, but I am a record collector for 25 years. I really began to look for records after I first listened to John Peel's Music on BFBS in Germany. May he please rest in music heaven!!! In May or June 1980 he talked about the suicide of a to me then unkown singer called Ian Curtis. And he played lots of music by a band called Joy Division, among many others. I was struck because I hadn't heard anything like this. Before that I liked anything from Al Stewart to ACDC to Pink Floyd to The Clash. After that I did not only get the records, I also made my own Factory Records buttons, because you could not get Joy Division pins in my part of Germany. I heard about Punk before, but that was of no big interest in my area back then, 70s Stadium Rock like mentioned above and Hippies RULED! It was Gorleben time, having to protest against the...
