MADSEN wieder in Lüchow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Madsen is a great band from the Wendland, my place of birth. They will soon be playing there again. I already have my ticket for only 9 Euro for their concert in Lüchow on July 05. You can find out more and some videos at Madsen's page and some more in my previous post .

Kristen Haynes - Superstar to be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As you may have seen in my previous post on the fantastic success of the PayPal action, only one person in the whole world felt inclined to donate a few Euros. This special person is Kristen Haynes from Brisbane, Australia. Imagine that, I ask for support sitting in Germany and someone from as far away as Australia answers. I LOVE the internet!

She is not only a very nice person from what I found out during our recent e-mails, but also a very talented singer and songwriter.

She has a MySpace site here. Some of the songs there are also featured in the file you can download below. Spread the word!

Some of her faves: Nina Simone, Gillian Welch, PJ Harvey, Björk, Jeff Buckley, Marvin Gaye, and on and on. I'm really into Talking Heads, solo David Byrne, and Paul Simon circa Graceland - all that percussive cross-cultural mash-up. Afro-Brazilian, West African, South African, Middle Eastern, Eastern European... I loved being introduced to Lizzy Mercier Descloux. Other favourite bands include Radiohead, The Smiths, Cocteau Twins and The Pixies.

And she seems to have enjoyed the Thirteen Moons!

The first songs posted are as a duo with the bassist Adam Oscar Storey. Great songs with great execution!

Actually I wanted to build up your interest before I would post the next of Kristen's songs, but I could not wait. Two more are included in the zip file. I am sure you will enjoy them just as much as I did. Please spread the word wherever you will go!

All songs and recordings are released here with the artist's support and permit, but protected under a Creative Commons license (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/2.5/au/), photos used © Trent Everitt (www.trenteveritt.com). You can even contact her directly via kristenhaynesmusic at gmail dot com. There is a mailing list for further info!

From her MySpace, Kristen Haynes: "I swear by The Saints I will conquer Australian music, even if it means burning the Midnight Oil." I hope this will go further than only Australia!

News

Hello everybody in the UK!

Even though I have my new job now, every Penny is welcome. If you have a look at the lower end of the sidebar on the right you will notice some new flashing banners.

When you need very cheap compatible ink cartridges or everything you need for printing (paper, photocards, cables) you will find it here for your printer (ink or laser) at amazingly low prices. The quality is at least comparable to the products of the original printer manufacturers. Often the cartridges even have higher ink or toner capacities than the originals at drastically lower prices!

The last banner could be interesting if you want to add some more fun to your relationship or just need something to spice up your next party. Ideal for Hen Nights and Stag Parties! You do not have to feel embarrased by parcels from Whyteleafe as you can choose a different sender's address (ink.co.uk + more). The prices will surprise you.

You just have to register for a customer account after clicking on one of the banners. Then my referral ID (notrockon) will show in your registration and I will receive a small amount for every order you place, regardless how much you will order. Of course, I will receive no information on what or where you order! You can even use the same service (with or without own homepage) if you register for the Partner Programme in these shops! You do not have to be a customer yourself.

Should you register at a later date please insert notrockon to the referral ID field.

I do hope you will surely be satisfied by these products! This could pay at least a little for the efforts to keep this blog and the archive online.

Should you actually have any problems with registering or ordering, just leave a comment here.

Neuigkeiten

Hallo allerseits,

Also dann, schaut mal rein und denkt an mich!

Gabi Delgado - Mistress 1983

After being a member of Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft or DAF for years, Gabi Delgado-Lopez decided that maybe more popular music could mean success. In the summer of 1983 this seemed very reasonable as New Wave had become acceptable and even old Punks (without those still thinking it was 1977) thought it was time to dance again on the volcano.

Gabi, originally Spanish, shows a nice mix of electronics and Latin Lover, very seductive. I liked it very much then and was glad to find it in a bargain bin by the end of 83. Unfortunately this was only the Cassette version, but the sound is ok. As usual this was recorded as mp3Pro, so do not be set off as it is only 96 kbps.

Gabi Delgado (Lopez) - Mistress (MC version) 1983

His D.A.F. companion Robert Görl also released a very nice solo record (with the assistance of Annie Lennox). Find more here .

When I just reopened the page I could see some similaities in the pictures of Gabi and the one of me on the right ;-)) Those were the times for sinister looks and shadows in the background...

Modern Lovers, Original

To mark my return to the Blogworld (and also because I had it already stored on my HD and no CDs are readily available due to the Great CD Robbery) here is the Original first LP by the Modern Lovers, then still featuring Jerry Harrison, later with the Talking Heads. The songs on this record were produced with legendary Kim Fowley between Summer 72 and Fall 73. There are lengthy liner notes by Jonathan himself, but to read them completely, please buy the original record! These songs preceded the recordings with John Cale that would later result in the actual first Modern Lovers LP. There is further information at Rock in Boston.

You always hear that was Proto-Punk, but this is just perfect Pop music of a very own style! Strangely enough, my edition of the 1982 Line Records re-release white vinyl edition also contains 'I'm straight' as track 4, although uncredited on the sleeve.

I am a fan of Jonathan Richman since more than 30 years. I just found out now (ohmygod, am I that old?), I first heard Roadrunner in 77 or 78 as a kid. JR was really brought to my attention by 'Egyptian Reggae' around 77 or 78 by Gerd Timmermanns on NDR2. Early in the 80s I found the 77 Live LP at a flea market. Since then I was hooked. I have seen him several times since my first JR concert in 1988 in Münster. In the early 90s I saw him in the Berlin Loft and the next day in Hamburg and even met him in person on the Reeperbahn! Great guy! There were concerts closer to my then home Braunschweig, as recorded in my previous post on the concert in Hildesheim.

I am not really up to date as what he does today, but I am sure he will be close to your town soon. If you do not go to a concert, if he is playing near you, you will definitely have to go to hell if you do not go hear him! So better be there!

He was responsible for influences on the first wave of British Punk (Glen Matlock of the Sex Pistols remembered this) and not only remembered for his fanatical love of Velvet Underground. Sleeping in Lou Reed's appartment is not his only merit.

To be honest, I prefer his post 77 tracks, although ML were pure class. There was more fun in his music afterwards. Go to the Hildesheim concert and listen to the Bermuda story (I am the one who asked for it...). A few days after that concert I heard Bang Bang Lulu in a supermarket! You will find out why he changed... Remember Splinter in Berlin? (This is only intended to be understood by one person).

I had a lot of continous fun with his music ever since and his concerts since then. I do hope you will be able to understand my fascination with this fantastic entertainer Jonathan Richman!

Have fun with Jonathan!

There will be no updates automatically. As now I am busy with updating my own life, I do hope one day I will be able to be more stable regarding new posts.

There is a fantastic review by another collector on JoJo here. I can sign almost every word of it (except the remark on 'Hospital', one of the greatest songs of all time!)!

STILL ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello everybody!

It is a long time since I last updated my blog. As you may have read in my last posts, I have a new job now. After a lot of moving several times, I finally have an appartment since December. By the end of January I finally had access to the internet again. Unfortunately, I do not have much time left for the blog as the new job is rather time consuming. Nevertheless I prefer it this way than not having a job and too much time.

While I was already at my new place some ruthless bastards broke into my old flat and besides other valuable things as my Teddy bear, they stole most of my CDs, many originals from the 80s. Impossible to get them back (and my Teddy). More than 1000 are misssing, only about 200 are left, some were in the top shelves they could not reach, some newer ones in drawers (from my trip to USA + Canada in 2004) and the ones I had next to my computer like thankfully the Indie Scene compilations are still in my possession. The record collection was left untouched (almost) completely. Probably they did not know what to do with them. Nevertheless they took some box sets (the Palatine 4 CD box!). Very lazy and stupid thieves! Therfore the reference to 'To catch a thief' with the divine Grace Kelly and Cary Grant. I think I know who did it but unfortunately I have no proof. Therefore the Police will not search their premises.

I am still in the process of setting up my new home. Some moving boxes are still untouched. At least I have the PC working and since last weekend the Stereo is set up finally. These bastards also stole my Audioplay Charly speakers I bought in 83. They were unique as they were round cardboard tubes with a 12" woofer on top. See left.

I will try to get my stuff sorted so I can post more music in future. With regard to the current situation it may take a while till you find new posts here. I will try to get hold of old records to post here again! Possibly the Sarah project might be the next step. The singles were not stolen thankfully.

I do hope you will still be satisfied with my blog!
Here are some songs with a reference to thieves! Unfortunately The Thief of Baghdad is not included yet.

Thieves of different kinds (several songs with thieves, any more suggestions are welcome!)

First reaction to PayPal links

Kristen was the first to use the PayPal donation links! So he or she will receive the promised reward (sooner or later...)!

I still have to really move from Wilhelmshaven to Bielefeld. At the moment I am much too busy at work. A colleague who wanted to help me with a truck just fell ill so the planned move this weekend had to be cancelled. So you have to wait a little longer until the first new post from here.

CU soon!

I have a new home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally I found a new apartment in Bielefeld after a very long search!!!!!

Relatively close to my work and the inner city, 60 square meters, kitchen and a nice balcony to the south and a nice green backyard. The rent is not cheap but ok. I have seen a lot of terrible apartments during the last weeks, so I am happy now. I had to live in a hotel since November 1st, so I am glad that I can move out on Sunday. I do not want to think about the final bill, almost a month's salary...

The job is developing better every day, more on this soon! Challenging but also very rewarding, great team, new opportunities, I really enjoy it after the long time of unemployment. I had more time for my blog, but I hope you will understand, that I have new priorities now. I can not post as much as a year ago when I had nothing else to do. When I have my archive back at hand I hope to do one post per week, but don't nail me down on that! Before that I have to do a lot of packing up all my stuff and moving and refurbishing so don't expect a new post before December. I am already thinking of something special, maybe some season's greetings.

The picture is the (in)official seal of the Republik Freies Wendland (Free Republic Wendland), the region where I originally come from. Just to have a pic in this post... Find more about it here on this fantastic website on the history of Landkreis Lüchow-Dannenberg in the past 100 years. Many thanks to Burghard Kulow for collecting all these wonderful old pictures and stories. I spent most of last weekend searching and finding very interesting information on the history of the area that I grew up in and had to find out that I knew very little about this very beautiful part of Germany. It was rather cut off during the cold war, but now it is in the center of Germany and Europe, but still very beautiful. Things changed a lot since the breakdown of the German border, thank God, although I am not a very religious person.

Thanks for still being faithful, I try to at least keep all the old links working, so you always have a pretty large archive to browse through!

Enjoy!!!!!!!!

MediaFire seems to have deleted a lot of my files and they do have some trouble with their servers at the moment

I reupped some files already, but I can not find every missing link without your help! I am still busy to upload the files again, because my connection is not that reliable.

I uploaded a lot of files again! I hope I found all the deleted files. If you stumble upon one that I missed, please leave a comment here, because I can not check the comments in the older posts regularly.

There seem to be some problems with Mediafire. I will watch this problem. If Mediafire is down, I will have to reup all those files again to other file hosters.... This will take time. Be patient!

Aztec Camera Live Milan 04.11.1984

As I still don't have my records back, you get some more tape recordings. While checking my stuff I found some tapes again I bought in London when I visited Matthias Hanich in 1987, see there. Expect some more of this for the next posts. This is the first.

Roddy Frame and his band Aztec Camera played live in Milan/Mailand Italy on November 04 1984. Since I recorded the tape last week I can not get these fantastic tunes out of my head, I am humming Matress and wires all the time, it still is that great! The sound quality is pretty good, I think this is a radio transmission. Here is the tracklist:

01 Matress of wire
02 Introduction
03 Lost outside the tunnel
04 Head is happy, heart's insane
05 Walk out to winter
06 The bugle sounds again
07 The boy wonders
08 We could send letters
09 Backwards and forwards
10 Oblivious
11 All I need is everything
12 Still on fire
13 The back door to heaven
14 The knife
15 The birth of the truth
16 Down the dip
17 Back on board
18 Jump (Van Halen! cover!!!)

Human League - Live Berlin Kant Kino 23.11.1980

Today it is Reunification Day in Germany, so it is a day off, that's why you get this post with a connection to then separated Berlin in 1980.

Human League, combining electronics with Pop in the late seventies with their albums Travelogue and Reproduction (don't expect links, you can find them anywhere) were really great in trying to sound difficult, while they were POP. This might have it's roots in the two teams in the band. Phil Oakey, the guy with the Blade Runner makeup and Adrian Lyne, who later carried on (get the pun, eh?) with Human League were on the more Pop/Fun side (although Adrian was a bit arty) while Ian Craig-Marsh and Martyn Ware wanted to back the electronic music revolution with the liberation of the proletariat!

They tried so with Heaven 17 (The name came, off course, from Clockwork Orange. Now it is easy to find it cheesy, but I think they really meant it!)

Fantastic Pop songs, not much impact on the masses concerning the revolution...

This posting gives you the Human League concert in the Kant Kino in West-Berlin on November, 23rd 1980, although I think it is not the complete concert, but you never know with these early 80s bands. Sometimes they just wanted to tell the audience that they have to accept what the artists are willing to give.

As a bonus you get the "Dancing like a star" EP from ca. 1977 actually released in 2002 with some songs by the Human League predecessors The Future and "Perfect day" (later included in the BEF's "Music of quality and distinction", I really love this record! Expect a post as soon as I have my record collection back in my hands!) from a concert at the Paradiso in Amsterdam, although I do not have a date for this. I am not absolutely sure if the bonus material is really as mentioned. I bought this tape via the net a few years ago, so I hope the information is ok. There are some mistakes in the original playlist (see pic). I hope I could correct them all. If anybody knows more, please leave a comment.

BOWWOWWOW the first tape 1980

This is my original of the first BowWowWow cassette. I bought it in late 1980 in Lüneburg.

As you can see from the scans it was in heavy use. For some time this was together with the first two B-52's LPs my early morning wakeup soundtrack. If you hear it, you will understand...

Due to the use in Sofia Coppola's movie "Marie Antoinette" they seem to be back, at least in people's minds.

Yacht & Architecture in Helsinki in Bielefeld

So now I have to unclose the mystery of my new place. I moved from Wilhelmshaven to Bielefeld, from one center of the world to another... Well, I didn't really move yet, I still have my flat in Wilhelmshaven, 3 rooms, 70 qm, view to the sea, 5 minutes to the only south beach on the german coast (which I used less than ten times in five years, but now it seems precious...). Now I have two small rooms in a "Wohngemeinschaft" until the end of October. Until then I have to find something new. But it is already better than the first place I had, a very, very tiny appartment in a students home, better than a place in a dorm, but not funny for more than three weeks.

At least there are more concerts here than in Wilhelmshaven. In the five years there I saw Götz Alsmann (some nice CDs over at Der Likedeeler) and Bernd Begemann (search this blog and more to come).

Tonight I was at my first concert in Bielefeld (well, actually the second, as I saw Marc Almond & La Magia here in the PC 69 in 1988 I think. I got in for free, but I think I told that story in one of my earlier Marc Almond posts).

Architecture in Helsinki, with support by Yacht from Portland, home of grunge as he told us. He put up a nice show, together with his laptop. 25 years ago this would have been unthinkable, just a guy with a tape recorder. I remember seeing DAF in the Markthalle Hamburg in June 1981: Robert behind his drum set, Gabi at the mic and lovely Tina Schnekenburger playing the.... tape recorder. Many people couldn't understand why there was no band, but that was the concept. Great!

Yacht reminded me of the Fad Gadget show I saw in Hamburg in 1984, that I posted below. Nice synth (or rather Cubase or something else these young guys use) backings, some cool samples and a very expressionist style of performance. I really liked the part where he jumped into the crowd (not that many) and made them all sit down. When everybody was down, he jumped up! And he can jump! I haven't seen that before, and I have seen a lot, really astonishing.

After the break AiH appeared without saying much, playing their set and went home. I was a little disappointed. The show was great, nothing to worry about, but they played one song after the other, hardly any communication with the audience (except for calling out a prize for the guy who is sweatier than the band after the concert. Maybe they didn't like that the audience cheered them but didn't dance enough). Nobody complained, so I could go home early.

No soundfiles today, as the internet connection here is on WLAN and my room is pretty far away from the router, lots of walls inbetween. I remember surfing faster on a 56k modem. Besides it is a completely open, insecure network, rubbish! I hope I can talk the other people living here in at least changing the encryption and the status.

BTW Does anybody have a clue why my Beckett template disappeared? I already uploaded an earlier version of my template, that I had saved, but it is just the same ugly white background, that looks sooo 1994. Any clues????????

Just found out: the storage of the original template changed, just type Beckett template problems to google and you get the new source code with the correct links. Just copy and paste, easy as pie... If you know it!

My Remixes

In the early 80s Rap, Electro (remember StreetSounds?) and scratching were very unusual to a kid living in a small village somewhere in the east of Lower-Saxony. So I had to make my own remixes, mostly created with just two tape decks. Here are the results:

Burning Spear - Do the Reggae
Bow Wow Wow - W.O.R.K.
Afrika Bambaata - Looking for the perfect beat
Grandmaster Flash - Wheels of steel
Die Toten Hosen - Hip Hop Bommi Bop (ft. Fab Five Freddy)
New Order - Confusion

CoolJerk remixes 1984

The picture is from early 1990 when my friend Martin Bucholz took some pictures of my models for my application to the University of Winnipeg, that unfortunately failed due to the incompetence of some clerk there, that didn't file my application in the right basket!

Markus - Kugelblitze und Raketen 1982 - Back online

This is a special post dedicated to the fantastic Likedeeler, go and check out his site, he has a lot to offer!

He has been looking for this LP for a long time, although I am pretty sure that you can grab it at every flea market for 50 Cent. Whatever, here it is.

Markus was one of the first superstars of the NDW, propelled by the success of "Ich will Spass". Not much followed, except his appearance in the nice movie "Gib Gas, ich will Spass" with Nena, where they had a nice "steamy" scene together. "Kleine Taschenlampe brenn'" is still a very fine song, although the version featured on the LP is not with Nena, sob....

Unfortunately there is another flaw with this recording. The last track "Schön sind wir sowieso", which is my favorite, didn't want to be recorded. Although the surface of the record looks perfect, it skipped all the time and I have tried it several times! So sorry, but anybody who has a copy of this is welcome to send it to me, so I can update the track.

The picture is of a promo, not the original LP.

80s radio concerts

As I told you earlier, I had several new posts preproduced. I will throw them at you all in one post, as they all were concerts I taped from the radio, predominantly NDR2 or NDR1 Musik für junge Leute.

As I found out during my research, these must have been records sent out by the record companys to the radio stations, as you can sometimes hear some cracks. Some of the concerts have some static noises now and then, but that makes up for authenticity! At least I hope so... Due to the length these are obviously no complete recordings of the concerts, a few tracks are always missing.

So I start with an important part of the gloomy early 80s, Bauhaus. I saw them in the Markthalle Hamburg in late 1981, that's were I took the pic, not at the Old Vic in London from February 1982

Bauhaus - London, Old Vic 0282

A different musical area is ploughed by Yazoo (called Yaz in the States due to legal problems with the old time record label of the same name). Perfect SynthPop! I remember lying in hospital after my motorbike accident in May 1982, listening to BFBS all the time. The mix of horrid informations about the war on the Falklands/Malvinas and then this wonderful little love song, sung by a lot of a woman, backed by fragile electronics, avantgarde in the charts and it scored! I loved it and due to personal experiences, still my number 1 song of all times!!!!!! Unfortunately I didn't find any information about this show, sometime in 1983 somewhere in England I guess.

Yazoo - Live 1983

The next are the ComSat Angels, one of the mostly underrated bands of those years. Their first LP "Waiting for a miracle" was a masterpiece, the followup "Sleep no more" was more gloomy, but great. I think their best work was "Fiction", their LP from 1982, fantastic songs, crystal clear production, nice packaging. This show was recorded in Hamburg, at the Markthalle 25.04.1984. Later I lost track with them, like most I think.

ComSat Angels - Live Hamburg, Markthalle 25.04.1984

The Carmel show was exactly one week after the memorable concert by The Smiths, on 11.05.1984. Great show, some hurt feelings after separating from my girlfriend, still great!

Carmel - Live Hamburg, Markthalle 11.05.1984

Lloyd Cole & the Commotions, two shows from 1985. Number one is defintively the Rockpalast show from 28.02.1985, I don't know much about the second show, definitively 1985, probably Hamburg, date ???

Lloyd Cole & the Commotions - Live Hamburg, Markthalle 28.02.1985

Lloyd Cole & the Commotions - Live Hamburg 1985

The next two posts are a test! I recorded them either in the mp3Pro@96kbps mode as well as in high quality Nero Digital Audio AAC .mp4 format. So maybe someone can tell me which is better. The difference is that for an example the New Order show from Glastonbury is 90 Mb as mp4 or 35 Mb as mp3pro. I can't hear any difference. I usually listen to files on my PC through speakers with a subwoofer system, not on headphones, haven't tried this. The mp3 are on mediafire, the mp4 are on rapidshare.
The problem with mp4 is that the id3 tags are not permanent, at least with Media Monkey, the prog I use for administration of my sound files. Does anybody know a tool to edit the tags on mp4?

The Japan show is from the Hammersmith Odeon on 07.02.1981 broadcast by the BBC, later sold as bootleg "Polaroid".

MP3PRO

Recently I used mp3pro to encode the music I post here to save harddisk space. Many people maybe thought, 96 kbps, that must be crap. Well it isn't really, but on the other hand it doesn't equal normal mp3@192kbps as I told you before. I just found an article on wikipedia that informed me about mp3pro. It says that mp3pro@80kbps equals mp3@128kbps, so mp3pro@96 should equal mp3@160. MP3PRO CAN BE PLAYED ON ANY MP3PLAYER, but only players that support MP3Pro will get a better sound than with normal players, yet it still is very good sound quality!

I have already recorded some files for future release in mp3pro@96, I won't change them but in the future I will use standard mp3@192kbps again. I think there will be no big flaws, as these are mostly things I recorded from the radio to cassette.

Whatever, these are bootlegs anyway and remember when you bought bootlegs in the 80s! The quality was often much much worse! I have some of that ilk in my collection, but they aren't worth being scanned, because there would be many people arguing about the poor sound quality (and I don't like that also).

I have a job again! Time to celebrate

After a long time of unemployment (hence the PayPal links, where nobody felt the urge to send anything) I finally have a new job! This means that you have to look forward to even longer breaks until something new appears on this blog. I have already scanned several Tapes and LPs for future use, but new releases may take some time, still you can ask for requests.

For a start here is something by Fad Gadget. The 12" "Collapsing new people" and a concert from 29.03.1984 in the Markthalle Hamburg, that was later broadcast on the radio. I was there, but this time I didn't take a camera.

The next file I post is by the fantastic Kevin Rowland and his Dexy's Midnight Runners, a concert on Rockpalast on german TV on April fourth 1983.

Dexy's Midnight Runners - Live Rockpalast 03.04.1983

Too-Rye-Ay was one of the records of the summer of 82 but I actually only bought it on Feb., 02. 1983. If you follow my meanderings on this blog you will know that this was the date of the ABC show, so go there first and come back here to get the rest of the story, eventually!

I remember "THE FACE" in early 85 with the picture of some clerk on the back, no message. It took a while until I recognised the shaved Kevin Rowland after the Dungaree look of 82. What a campaign! And even the record... Don't stand me down definitely is in my Top Ten Island List!!!! (maybe you can find out more about this exceptional record soon).

The files all have complete id3 tags, so you see what you downloaded immediately. As usual I encoded them as MP3PRO@96Kbps. Don't be worried by the 96, it is MP3PRO and with that it equals normal mp3@160kbps, the files are just smaller.

Very nice blog: Any major dude with half a heart

I just found a nice blog, that features a nice 80s roundup year by year and also lots of interesting music from South Africa and all over the world with very nice and personal offerings.

Any major dude with half a heart

He seems to be missing comments (where do I know that from?), so people rush over there and leave your marks, he seems to be a really nice guy!

ABC live Musikhalle Hamburg 02.02.1983

This is a concert recording I have very fond memories of. I had to go to Hamburg for a medical examination after my motorcycle accident. I found some nice records that day, the Glaxo Babies , Dexy's, The Cure and Depeche Mode. To top this there was a concert by ABC in town that night. Unfortunately I didn't have a ticket. Nevertheless I went there, although it was called sold out and I actually found someone that had been left alone to give me a ticket and even for free!

There were even some "celebrities" there: I saw Diedrich Diederichsen and Kid P., how further can you get for a kid from the villages, THOSE were heroes in the 80s : People that had problems asking Tina for a date, but mocking about the german voice of Jerry Lewis (it was Georg Thomalla if you might want to ask. There must be this famous soundbite where Kid P. (Andreas Banaski) asks for George SSomalla (or did he just listen to this being asked?)

Anyway : Kid P. war immer grosszügig!
(Seitdem habe ich dieses Wort geliebt! Alles Gute dieser Welt für Andreas Banaski aka Kid P. !!!!!!)
I really enjoyed the night, had a fantastic seat on the balcony right in the middle and later that concert was on the radio as you get it here now. There is a comment, that it wasn't THAT fantastic, soundwise, that's right. The sound at the evening was pretty bad, but the radio recording was very good!
